Frontline Workforce Insights: New Data and On Demand Access to Livestream

HR Strategy

Last week our team ran a livestream for hundreds of employers with frontline workers. During that session, we explored topics ranging from talent acquisition and communications to feedback and scheduling/flexibility. Want to see the full session? On demand signup is here.

A few key findings from the study:

  • As the graphic below indicates, today, about two out of three frontline workers are satisfied in their jobs, but that leaves approximately one-third of those workers that either have active plans to quit or are highly disengaged with their work.
  • Flexibility IS possible, even in a frontline context. It just requires rethinking flexibility. For the workforce, it’s primarily defined as when I workhow I work, and how I grow.
  • Just four in 10 frontline team members say their work is appreciated on a regular basis.
  • When frontline workers are planning to quit, they are 5x more likely to say their company culture is “a dysfunctional mess.”
